How to get to Warsaw
Air Transport
Frederic Chopin Warsaw-Okecie International Airport Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin Airport is the largest and the most modern airport in Poland. It is located 10 km south-west from the center of Warsaw. The Warsaw airport covers about 70% of all passenger air traffic in Poland. At present Warsaw has over 80 scheduled connections to domestic and international airports and an ever growing number of charter connections.
Railway Transport
There are three large railway stations in Warsaw receiving international and long haul domestic traffic: Warszawa Centralna, Warszawa Zachodnia, Warszawa Wschodnia. At present Warsaw has railway connections with the following European cities: Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Berlin, Amsterdam, Basel, Munich, Rome, Kiev, Moscow, Brussels, Cologne.

How to get to the centre from the airport
The airport is 10 km south from the centre of Warsaw. It takes about 20 minutes to get there. You can take bus number 175; and get off at bus stop called “Uniwersytet” [“University”]. Alternatively you can take a taxi which belongs to one of the municipal corporations. In front of the arrival hall, there is a rank with taxis associated in three corporations: “SAWA Taxi”, “MERC Taxi” and “MPT Taxi”.
Public transport
Buses and trams are the basic means of public transport; they run according to the timetable displayed at the stops, approximately from 5.00 a.m. to 10:45 p.m.; from 10:45 p.m. to 4:45 a.m. night buses are in service. Almost all night lines have their main stops at Emilii Plater (close to the Central Railway Station) to facilitate changing lines for the passengers. The tickets can be bought at kiosks [newsagent’s shops], ticket machines or from the driver.

In Warsaw, there is also an underground. Now the Warsaw underground has one line which runs through the districts of Ursynów (the first station is at Kabaty quarter), Mokotów, Śródmieście, Żoliborz and Bielany (the last station: Młociny) (23.1 km, 21 stations). This line connects southern and northern districts of Warsaw left bank with the city centre. These trains run daily between 5.00 a.m. and 0.00, every few minutes and also at night till 3.00 a.m., but only at weekends. In order to find an appropriate connection between any two points in Warsaw a very convienient search engine "jak dojadę" might be used.

In the close neihgbourhood of the University of Warsaw there are a lot of restaurants, cafes, banks, ATMs and different shops. All necessary things and services are easly accesible from the conference venue
